At Cumbria Lodge housing to rent for over 55s in Bishop Auckland, we offer 29 one bedroom properties. Also known as retirement housing, sheltered housing and independent living, Cumbria Lodge welcomes anyone aged 55 or over whether you're retired or not.
The property is situated close to Bishop Auckland and has excellent transport links to the town centre and Darlington. The local shops are within walking distance and include a post office, library, bakery, hairdressers and newsagents. There is a doctor's surgery within walking distance. Other local amenities include a retail park accessible by a nearby bus service, a leisure centre and Auckland Castle.
We understand that sometimes sometimes you'll prefer to be alone and at other times you may want to be more sociable. Our properties give you that freedom. At Cumbria Lodge you can take part in social activities including bingo, a lunch club, coffee mornings and seasonal events.
You won't need to worry about maintenance and repairs or gardening upkeep as we take care of these. You'll find wide range of facilities, including a communal lounge, a guest room, a garden with seating area, an on-site laundry and parking spaces.

At Cumbria Lodge housing to rent, you'll find well-maintained rented accommodation for those aged 55 or over.
Your home will be completely self-contained with your own front door allowing the privacy and independence you expect. You'll find it easy to maintain, and you'll be able to give your new home a personal touch and decorate and furnish it as you wish.
Your kitchen will have fully-fitted units and you'll find plenty of storage space.
Many who live in our properties have arranged broadband and digital or satellite TV and most properties have a telephone point.
You'll want to feel safe in your new home and that’s why each of our properties is fitted with an emergency alarm.
