At Queen Elizabeth Court retirement housing scheme in Somerset, we offer 17 studio, 12 one bedroom and 1 three bedroom purpose-built properties for rent for people over the age of 55.
The property is situated close to Taunton and has excellent transport links to both Weston-super-Mare and Bristol. The local shops are within walking distance and include supermarkets, a post office, a library, a bakery and cafes. There are doctors' surgeries in both Cranleigh Gardens (within walking distance) and Eastquay (on the local bus route). Other local amenities include a cinema, an arts centre and a Mecca Bingo Hall.
We understand that sometimes you like to be alone and at other times you may want to be more sociable. Our properties give you that freedom. At Queen Elizabeth Court we run social activities including film nights, coffee mornings and fish and chip suppers.
You will not need to worry about maintenance and repairs or gardening upkeep as we take care of those. We provide a wide range of facilities, including a communal lounge, a guest room, a garden with seating area, an on-site laundry and 11 parking spaces.

Easy to manage and homely, our studio flats might be small, but they can come with huge advantages. Studios can be perfect if you are looking to downsize to a smaller property, you’ll be able to commit more time to enjoying leisure activities without having to worry about lots of cleaning work. Studios are also an economical option as they are inexpensive to rent and cheaper to heat than larger properties.
What could my new home be like?
Your home will be completely self-contained with your own front door allowing the privacy and independence you expect. It will be easy to maintain, and you will be able to give your new home a personal touch and decorate and furnish it as you wish.
